What are you curious about?
The pair have been together for as long as they can remember. They were barely old enough to have their own place back then. How quickly the decades pass. They sit silently at the edge of the dunes, watching the tide go out as the sun rises behind them. The warm feeling on their backs becomes comforting as the light of our home star pierces the veil of morning sea mist. The tide pools become visible, and they nod to each other and then glide toward their bounty. A warm and gentle conversation between them quietly strikes up as they inspect the day’s treasures on the strand.
Watching the ravens and crows along the beach has always made me curious. What do they talk about when they’re walking together? Is it the same benign chatter we tend to engage in when we go beachcombing?
